The Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America

I found this picture in a cardboard tube in the box of old photos. My great Aunt Julia (Szeszol)Bianco and her husband Jasper Bianco worked in the clothing industry before they were married.

This picture was taken March 15, 1927 at the ground breaking ceremony for the Chicago ACWA.

Thaddeus and Della were married on August 1, 1943 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Chicago Illinois.

I am not sure what year this took place.
Frank Jerz who is listed on the honor roll, is a cousin. He is the son of Katarzyna Szeszol (Frank's half sister) and Adam Jerz.

The Old Family Album: Early 1900s

Frank and Mary had 8 children: Katherine, Julia, John, Laura, Stanley, Thaddeus, Wanda, and Frank. These pages are from Julia's scrapbook she compiled through out her childhood. The dates are from 1903 through the 1930s.



The picture of Stanley, Thaddeus, and Frankie was taken in the summer of 1920. Frankie died on December 31, 1920.





1925: John Szeszol had friends that were part of The Badgers, a baseball team.
John died July 7, 1925.













The cousins here are Julia (Szeszol) Gonka's children, Sophie and Mary Gonka.
